Overview: The Department of Aviation and Technical Education at Utah State University Eastern (Price) offers a full-time position as an Education Specialist II in support of the Rural Technology Pathway Strategic Workforce Initiative (SWI). As part of USU’s mission to make its academic programs accessible throughout the state, the position will be physically located at the USU Eastern (Price), Utah and support the surrounding areas. The estimated start date is September 1, 2021. Under the director of the Associate Department Chair for Aviation and Technical Education (AVTE), the Education Specialist II will plan and implement the FutureINdesign (FIND) Young Adult (YA) Rural Technology Pathway program. The position works with internal and external entities within USU Eastern’s service area to align young adult training with high priority needs in response to business and industry partners. The position prioritizes and delivers non-formal instruction in working as part of the high school to post-secondary rural technology pathways.Responsibilities:
