JOB DUTIES: Creates and manages agency training, webinars and seminars, both in-person and online, for internal and external customers (except training for OAKS-CI); assists in developing, writing, and editing informational slides, presentations, videos and other training media; conducts outreach to potential training audiences; maintains training participant distribution lists; plans and develops webinars of specific interest to stakeholder groups (e.g. school district treasurers, agency construction officers); responsible for local administration certification training and education; facilitates professional development CEUs (AIA, etc.). Plans and manages special events for the agency and agency’s participation in external events (Agency Construction Officer meetings; conferences, industry and stakeholder meetings); designs and manages website registration process for online registration of OFCC events; develops and presents informational displays for workshops and conferences; facilitates flow of information from agency/speakers to event coordinators; proofs presentations. Manages the agency’s social media efforts; develops staff guidelines, manages day-to-day postings and dialog on OFCC accounts (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, others as needed); proactively conducts outreach to internal and external customers for photos, videos and content; analyzes social media metrics and provides insight into improving the agency’s social media presence; establishes and maintains relationships with industry, K-12, and agency social media partners. Assists with graphic design for annual report, educational and informational publications and public presentations; formatting for OFCC publications and presentations, educational and informational materials (annual reports, brochures, newsletters, fact sheets) that reflect OFCC programs and activities; assists with the agency’s branding initiative ensuring OFCC branding is appropriate for type of document, presentation, etc. Plans and develops agency surveys and reporting; provides backup to web postings; provides media relations back-up to Media Relations Manager; provides communications support to grants program, energy services, sustainability program, and legislative affairs; assists in preparing responses to public inquiries and requests for information regarding OFCC projects and programs; other duties as assigned. SKILLS IN: (4) Operation of personal computer & associated hardware/software (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, PageMaker, Freehand, Flash, Dreamweaver, MS Word & Excel) ABILITY TO: (5) define problems collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; (6) handle sensitive inquiries from & contacts with officials and general public; (7) listen & respond effectively to external and internal customer questions and inquiries, (8) use proper research methods in gathering data; (9) copy material accurately & recognize grammatical & spelling errors; (10) gather, collate & classify information about data, people or things ***May be developed after employment. OR 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in preparing various forms of literature for publication (e.g., newswriting; reporting; editing; photojournalism; graphics of communication).
