KYDS Transportation LLC is looking to hire an experienced Class B truck driver in the East Atlanta, GA Area. Applicants are expected to have a minimum of 2 years experience and the ability to demonstrate their skills in maneuvering the vehicle. Main job responsibilities include hauling paving materials, construction supplies, dirt, or garbage to and from various job locations. This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of equipment/trucks.

Job Requirements:

• Performs daily pre/post trip inspections, Checks fluid levels, tires, lights, and other controls for safe operation.
• Keeps accurate log of time on the job and time signed out of the job required for accurate billing.
• Must be able to drive a Manual transmission truck, no automatic transmission drivers will be considered.
• Monitor various gauges during operation of vehicle.
• Unrolls truck tarp to cover loads when required.
• Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the supervisor.
• Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions.
• Must keep vehicle in a clean and orderly condition.
• Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of related truck driving experience is required. Dump Truck driving experience is preferred.
• Must maintain a CDL B license.
• Must be 18 years in age or older.
• Must pass DOT physical, drug screen and criminal background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekends

Experience:

• Commercial Dump Truck Driving: 2 years (Preferred)
• Manual transmission driving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CDL B (Required)

Shift Availability:

• Overnight Shift (Preferred)

Trucking freight handling:

• No touch freight
