Direct Support Professional (DSP)(CNA)(Med Tech) - Ellicott City location

AHI is seeking a DSP- Direct Support Professional who is devoted, dependable, compassionate and patient, and who has the desire to work with a high functioning individual with intellectual/developmental disabilities in Ellicott City.

Hours are 9am to 10pm on Saturdays and Sundays (26 hours a week)

The DSP- Direct Support Professional will provide daily care to an adult with intellectual and development disabilities. Our employee will assist the individual in accomplishing the following; independent living skills, ADLs, transferring, planning activities in the home, and providing appropriate physical and emotional care to the individual to promote growth and development.

This position will require the following:

• High School Diploma
• A Valid Maryland Driver's License
• Medication Technician Certification by an approved DDA course is preferred but not required.
• One year experience in caregiving

Pay: $12.50 per hour

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• Weekends

Duties:

• Reading, writing, and carrying out directions
• Charting or taking notes for others to review
• Providing companionship and supportive listening
• Reporting changes in the health or status of the client
• Taking vitals, height, and weight
• Responding to emergency situations
• Administering medication

Work Remotely:

• No
