DSHS DDA Residential Services Coordinator

The Developmental Disabilities Administration, Residential Habilitation Center (RHC) is hiring a Residential Services Coordinator in Medical Lake, WA. Join us today on our mission to Transform Lives!

In this role, you will serve as a duty officer and help coordinate the 24 hours, 7 days per week services for Attendant Counselors in a program area team (P.A.T), including consultation to ensure ongoing compliance with residential service requirements.

Some of what you will do:

  • Represent the Administration and Lakeland Village in a professional and confidential manner
  • Respond to emergencies on campus
  • Act as a special assistant to the PAT Director
  • Complete DARs for direct care staff for timekeeping
  • Schedule staff to meet minimum safety standards while adhering to budgetary constraints
  • Maintain records, matrix, organization charts and attendance records
  • Act as a mandatory reporter
  • Serve as a consultant to management in matters relating to Attendant Counselors
  • Adapt general policies to specific situations
What we are looking for:
  • Skills in organization and management of staff scheduling
  • Experience supporting people with developmental disabilities
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to train others while maintaining effective work methods
  • Ability to identify abuse, neglect, mistreatment, exploitations, and/or abandonment
  • Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills

Who should apply?
  • High school graduation or GED and successful completion of thirty specific jobs related college quarter hours: (5 credit hours in a 100 or higher-level English Composition class, and 25 credit hours in 100 or higher level class in any of the following disciplines of which only 5 credits can be in Computer Science or Math: Psychology, Education, Human Services, Computer Science, Math).
AND
  • Three years of experience working with clients with developmental disabilities.
OR
  • High school graduation or GED and three years of experience as an Attendant Counselor 1, equivalent, or higher level class.
