General Summary:
The Warehouse Delivery/Clerk provides delivery services for the district and reports to the Director of Facilities or their designee.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Helps process incoming parcel post, and freight.- Helps prepare orders for delivery.
- Loads and unloads trucks daily as required.
- Delivers mail, requisitioned materials and furniture to all schools and departments.
- Makes extra deliveries and runs errands as required.
- Assists other facilities personnel in performing their assigned duties.
- Performs all assigned duties in a manner in which contributes to the safety and well being of the staff and buildings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
High school diploma or GED required, college or trade school classes preferred.- Possess good habits, character and attendance record.
- Be neat in appearance.
- Be able to speak, read and write at a level of proficiency that permits satisfactory job performance.
- Be capable and demonstrate the establishment and maintenance of harmonious, effective relationships with staff, students, supervisors and co-workers.
- Present evidence of acceptable experience in custodial and maintenance work as required for assigned duties.
- Upon request, present a certificate signed by a licensed physician appointed by the school board verifying the physical ability to perform the job.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Have a valid State of Michigan chauffeur’s license and ability to obtain within 90 days, a minimum Michigan commercial driver’s license if requested.
