Our Operations team and Fulfillment Centers (FC's) currently span 2 locations; Delanco, NJ and Salt Lake City, Utah. Together, our Ops/FC population is nearing 1000 people. With our rapid growth and fast paced operations, we now have the need for a strategic, forward-thinking HR leader. This role will mainly be located at our Delanco, NJ HQ, with travel to NYC and Salt Lake City as needed.

Reporting into our Chief Operating Officer, you will provide the strategic vision for the human resources function across our Ops and FC teams. You will own our employee growth strategy, providing guidance around building a strong organizational infrastructure to support our continued company growth. For both Operations and FC teams, you will be responsible for recruiting and retention, organization design and development, succession planning, benefits, compensation, employee relations, diversity, and learning and development programs. This role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence plus forward-thinking process improvement across our business. You will:
  • Lead a team to build a world-class culture and successfully implement strategic and innovative human resources solutions supporting business growth and transformation.
  • Manage a large team of HR, People Operations & Talent professionals.
  • Apply expert knowledge in organizational assessment & design while developing, implementing and evaluating change management programs and organizational problem solving processes.
  • Plan for our short and long-term talent needs and put in place the processes to get these people on the team.
  • Lead the organization to continue to deliver best-in-class People Operations – including building the strategy and leading your team in recruiting and retention, performance management/internal review processes, learning and development, employee relations, onboarding, orientation, and training – to ensure our values grow with the team.
  • Promote cross-departmental alignment to ensure consistent application of processes and programs.
  • Build an environment in full compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence requirements; advising management on needed actions, and partnering closely with your team.
  • Develop policies and procedures that align with the business goals and perpetuate continuous improvement within the HR organization.
  • Be a role model and mentor on organizational design and assessment methodologies, standards and change leadership.
  • Provide coaching at all levels; assesses appropriate development solutions/intervention strategies.
  • Diagnose opportunities for learning and development programs; develop and facilitate organization-specific training sessions; assess training effectiveness through evaluations.
  • Partner with management to resolve employee relation issues; provide coaching and counseling to management and staff; collaborate with legal counsel on issues as appropriate.
You have:
  • 8-10 + years direct Human Resources and People Operations experience with an hourly workforce environment, with 5+ years leading HR/People Ops/Talent Acquisition teams
  • Bachelor's degree and/or Masters in a relevant field and appropriate HR certifications
  • Significant experience in senior HR leadership roles in a rapid growing, operations-focused organization with clear tenure of leadership and management of others.
  • Track record of developing innovative and forward-thinking talent strategies and initiatives, and successfully scaling a compelling company culture.
  • Proven success leading people/talent function at a high growth start-up or a high growth division within a larger company.
  • Outstanding skills of influence and diplomacy
