1. Establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with other employees, children, parents, and the general public. 2. Answer phone calls, take messages as necessary, and provide routine information upon request in a pleasant, informed manner. This includes contacting parents and family members of children in care. 3. Exhibit high standards of professional conduct; greet all incoming guests respectfully and with a smile. 4. Understand and follow the Minimum Standards. 5. Assist parents, students, and guests in a timely manner. 6. Filing, copying, emailing and faxing sensitive information. 7. Review and/or sign incident reports, update children’s records, bulletins boards, and other office, classroom and building documents as instructed. 8. Receive, record, sort, distribute all incoming mail, documents, books, materials, supplies following established procedure. 9. Entering ProCare information onto office computer by following established procedures. 10. Make decisions in accordance with applicable center policies and procedures and the Minimum Standards. 11. Consistently communicate with the Director throughout the day and complete any tasks given. 12. Assist with keeping count of the number of children present and enrolled in each classroom. 13. Temporarily assist the teachers in their classrooms when needed. 14. Walking the grounds of the property to ensure safety of children and staff. 15. Conducting classroom walk throughs: cleanliness, curriculum, cleaning chart, organization. 16. Assisting with behavioral issues and special needs of the children in care. 17. Documenting and updating information for the Food Program. 18. Completing supplies lists: Classroom, cleaning, food, kitchen, building supplies, etc. 19. Scheduling trainings, Fingerprint appointments, Field Trips, etc with approval from director. 20. Assisting in other roles such as cooking, cleaning and caregiving for children in care.
