Tombras, a 450+ person, full-service, national advertising agency with a digital mindset, is seeking a Director, Paid Social to join the Paid Social team.
This position is remote to start and can be based in our Knoxville or Atlanta offices or continue remotely.

The Director, Paid Social Media is responsible for managing a 15-person paid-social team. Day-to-Day, you’ll provide strategic direction, introduce innovation, manage paid social media planning on a few of our key clients and represent Tombras in prospective client presentations and other client-facing activities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Direct responsibility for the day-to-day management of the department, including processes, training and performance
- Responsible for all hires, dismissals and professional development of personnel within the department
- Developing and overseeing the execution of advanced paid social marketing strategies across the entire client roster
- Act as a department representative within the larger media team and as a channel expert for Account Service, Analytics and Creative
- Assist with new business development
- Manage client and platform relationships
- Traveling overnight as required.
- Driving long distances as required.
- Job requires sitting for extended periods of time with occasional walking and standing and occasionally lifting or carrying articles weighing less than 10 pounds.
What you bring:
- 5+ years of media planning experience
- 7 + years’ experience in analyzing or managing digital/social media campaigns at a media or advertising agency
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience mentoring and managing a team
- Ability to plan and buy multi-million dollar paid social campaigns
- Expert knowledge of native ad servers and social platform tools
- Familiarity with third party ad serving, tracking and reporting platforms
- Advanced knowledge of digital media research and performance applications, including Comscore, Nielsen, Simmons, etc.
- Strong presentation skills, ability to present compelling ideas
- Ability to delegate and manage large teams and work collaboratively with other departments
- Overall responsibility for managing client budgets and monitoring spend
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent work experience
- Facebook’s Blueprint certifications for media planning, media buying and product developer I, II or III are a big plus
- Google certifications for search, display, video, shopping ads or analytics are also a big plus
