Responsibilities:

Summary of Position:


The Director of Treasury Operations is responsible for all Treasury operations and functions including cash and bank account management, liquidity management, cash requirement reporting and planning, and internal control structure and adherence. Additionally, the Director will assist in the preparation of financial reports to the CFO and corporate executives. The Director will manage banking relationships with primary banks as well as project lenders. This role will direct a department of seven associates to process daily/weekly wire transfers and check runs.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for cash requirements reporting; including monitoring and updating daily cash activity while working directly with divisions, region management, and corporate finance to maintain accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Manages bank platform administration.
  • Manges bank account setup, signature documentation and database maintenance.
  • Reviews account analysis to determine accuracy and consistency of agreed upon fees.
  • Wire Process Administration – Formalizes daily reconciliation process for cash positions. Reviews and initiates internal and external transfers.
  • Coordinates processes involving vendor setup, invoices, processing of payments to vendors and year-end 1099 reporting.
  • Manages remote deposit administration for smooth and efficient functioning of remote scanners, including tracking locations and associate setup.
  • Maintains strong banking relationships to be aware of and implements processes for changes in the banking industry.
  • Manages, reviews and audits internal cash requirements database.
  • Supports Sarbanes Oxley compliance requirements and audits requests as needed.
  • Assists with and supports ad hoc finance reporting projects as requested by the Controller and CFO.
  • Assists with day-to-day operations as required by Multifamily and/or Treasury teams.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proven team player and leader that can multi-task and work quickly, accurately, and independently in a fast-paced environment with all levels of management.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Detailed professional with the ability to learn quickly.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:


This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the Director of Treasury Operations to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
