Director of Quality Assurance

Overview: Quality Assurance Engineering work focuses on developing, modifying, applying, and maintaining quality evaluation and control systems/protocols including: - Devising and implementing methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment
- Designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment Conducting quality assurance tests and performing statistical analysis to assess the level of control and manage product quality risks
- Undertaking root cause analysis of incidents requiring corrective action
- Ensures that corrective measures and deviation meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
Responsibilities: - Manages a department or function that includes multiple teams led by Managers/supervisors and/or manages a functional area or process that may or may not have direct reports
- Ownership of short to mid-term (1-3 years) execution of functional strategy and the operational direction of the department
- Responsible for ensuring department goals/objectives are met and align to company’s overall strategy
- Oversees and supports development and execution of departmental strategy
- Requires ability to influence multiple, diverse stakeholders to accept policy, practices, and approaches
- Involves frequent communication with executive leadership on issues of significance
- Controls resources and policy formation in area of responsibility
- Influences, coaches, and develops direct reports
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: In order to be successful in this director role, candidate should have: - Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited university or college; Master’s degree preferred
- At least 8 years of related experience required, including at least 5 years of management or leadership experience
- Microsoft Office experience required (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
