About the Role
BookNook Tutoring (BNT) is building a team of best-in-class virtual tutors to provide hundreds of school districts with reading and math support for K-8 students. The Sr. Manager of Marketing Automation will own all aspects of BNT’s Tutor database in HubSpot, the automation strategy, and the segmentation strategy for tens of thousands of tutors. This person will automate and optimize the Tutor journey and email communications flow in HubSpot, starting with the moment a tutor candidate is a prospect through to the Tutor candidate actively working for BookNook. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and highly adept at assessing cross-department needs and implementing workflows, email campaigns, forms, properties updates and other processes in HubSpot to support each department’s responsibilities for the Tutor journey. We are a fast-moving start up and seeking someone who is a highly savvy HubSpot administrator and accustomed to starting at the ground level—setting up a database, its information architecture, and the flow of data into HubSpot from other platforms. This position will report to the VP of Tutor Marketing and Experience.

You can uncover the needs of multiple stakeholders to construct a cohesive customer journey that meets each team’s business goals. You clearly articulate your technical know-how in a manner that gains support and buy-in from colleagues and senior leaders.
You are a data whiz.
You know how to run A/B tests, evaluate data and make meaningful adjustments to campaigns to optimize conversion and engagement rates. Your decisions are driven and supported by data. You possess a sharp attention to detail. You are meticulous about maintaining a clean database. You ensure contact data, lists, naming conventions and the organization of data is clear and accurate. Every Tutor contact receives the communications relevant to them at a cadence that is relevant to them. Job Responsibilities

    • Architect, automate, and optimize the Tutor journey and email communications flow in HubSpot, starting with the moment a tutor candidate is a prospect through to the Tutor candidate actively working for BookNook.
    • Develop BookNook’s Tutor segmentation strategy, and set up contact properties, lists, and tagging methodology that supports audience and lifecycle segmentation.
    • Assess department needs and implement workflows, email campaigns, forms, tagging and other processes in HubSpot to support each department’s responsibilities for the Tutor journey. Departments include: Tutor Marketing, Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, Training, & Tutor Success.
    • Maintain the integrity of Tutor data in HubSpot, with meticulous attention to detail, to ensure Tutors only receive the communications they need when they need them. Manage BookNook’s HubSpot Marketing subscription to optimize usage of Tutor marketing contacts and minimize costs.
    • Create dashboards for each department in BookNook Tutoring to report on key KPIs such as Tutor engagement, conversion, lifecycle, onboarding status and more.
    • Manage all API data connection points to HubSpot that pertain to Tutor data—the Tutor Applicant Tracking System, Community Platform, LMS Platform and other software as needed.
What are we looking for?
    • 5+ years experience in HubSpot marketing automation administration with a demonstrated ability to architect a HubSpot marketing contact database, its information architecture and a segmentation strategy from scratch.
    • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including experience building reports and dashboards in HubSpot to measure meaningful KPIs, as well as a track record of achieving strong results from using data to optimize campaigns.
    • Experience overseeing and ensuring the correct mapping of data from external sources through APIs
    • A track record of developing and maintaining highly collaborative cross-functional relationships
    • Experience researching and implementing a Tech Stack for marketing and customer service
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
