SUMMARY

LANES is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to improve health care delivery by building a platform that enables cost-effective and secure electronic exchange of patient medical records among public and private health care providers and health plans in Los Angeles County. LANES seeks to make personal health information available when and where it is needed for patient care, safely and securely.

The Director of Marketing and Communication is a dynamic self-starter excited to increase the influence and reach of LANES. We’re looking for a driven, smart, creative and fun candidate who shares our passion for optimizing the intersection of clinical engagement, technology, and innovation. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing, you will be an integral part of our branding, marketing and communications work, creatively evolving the strategy and approach based on data, customer feedback, market trends and opportunities.

This is a virtual home-based position. Will be required to attend in-person meetings in the Los Angeles area as-needed basis, and client meetings on site.

This is a full time benefitted position. The pay range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 annually.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and execute a multi-faceted marketing strategy to build and strengthen the LANES brand and reputation as a leader and authoritative voice in Health Information Exchange, Interoperability and Population Health Management
  • Develop and implement market-wide programs supporting growth and retention priorities to drive LANES membership across providers and payers
  • Elevate LANES presence through case studies, whitepapers, sales collateral, slide decks, print and web content, email campaigns, infographics, event content, and more
  • Create and execute campaigns to recruit providers, hospitals and health plans
  • Own the LANES social media presence by continuously innovating, monitoring, and seizing new opportunities
  • Pitch speakers and mobilize speaking opportunities for LANES executive leadership team
  • Optimize marketing campaigns and analyzes, prepares, and shares performance reporting metrics across organization
  • Evaluate and make ROI-based decisions for campaigns, and community-based programs, events, hospital partnerships and educational events
  • Train and mentor marketing staff and aids in development plans, facilitates, and contributes to staff meetings as required
  • Responsible for overseeing/managing outside PR and marketing contractors
  • Other duties as assigned by LANES CEO

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university in marketing, communication, journalism, business administration.
  • Master’s degree in Health Service Administration, Business Administration or Public Health preferred
  • 8+ years of related experience in marketing working in-house or on the agency side in healthcare or healthcare technology
  • Experience tracking online campaigns and social media marketing
  • Strong project management skills and experience evidenced by fully informed project teams and consistently on-time deliverables
  • Experience in and/or comfort in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment
