Job Summary
Reporting to the Global Operations VP, the Director of (Manufacturing) Operations North America (DONA), will be instrumental in working cross-functionally to develop and streamline processes, serve as a partner to commercial leadership, and execute on key operational projects in support of strategic priorities managing the Manufacturing Warehouses throughout North America (NA) Region (3 manufacturing facilities in the US and 1 in Central America) This role is key to achieving the company’s revenue growth and productivity goals, while ensuring the quality of products and compliance of operations.
The Director of Manufacturing Operations in North America is responsible for the timely, efficient and economical processing of a range of products including cellphones, tablets, consumer electronics, accessories, and wearables. Additionally, he or she will collaborate with leaders from appropriate parts of the organization to contribute to the creation and updates of the product roadmap.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for leading by example and driving PCS Wireless culture throughout the manufacturing warehouses in NA. Building an inclusive and in an environment for your team to grow and thrive in.
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the NA warehouse operations, including but not limited to personnel management and team building, planning, forecasting & budgeting, and compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Responsible for supporting warehouses and projects to ensure efficient operations that adhere to PCS internal standards. In some cases, he/she may also manage the implementation of projects in collaboration with country teams/leads or directly.
- Responsible to drive the operations processes continuous improvement, best practices and growth opportunities. Responsible for introducing innovative methodologies to improve effectiveness- including robotics, AI and process efficiencies between others
- Improve operating margins by developing and executing on metrics through effective measurement and reporting.
- Identify deficiencies in regional operations practices, training, or policy compliance and provide recommendations and solutions.
- Engage with cross-functional departments (Business Development, Security, Environment, Human Resources & Health and Safety and Finance) to facilitate operational readiness and alignment of projects/programs launches.
- Lead and empower a highly engaged team. Emphasize the importance of diversity and inclusion and build an affirming environment for your team to grow and thrive in.
- Ensure the overall team meets or exceeds assigned goals, objectives, KPIs and other targets.

Job Specifications
- General:
- 10+ years progressive manufacturing operations, and 5 years leading regional teams in a processing/manufacturing environment in North America.
- BA/BS Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Finance, Engineering or other related field. An MBA or Master's degree is preferred.
- Knowledge and deployment of state-of-the-art manufacturing practices (including continuous flow and batch processes) as well as quality and continuous improvement techniques, analytical and quantitative skills.
- Demonstrated leadership in processing Operations of complex electro?mechanical devices; 5S, Lean, Six Sigma or other TQM process improvement. Current Six Sigma Black Belt desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership in leveraging world class ERP, materials management tools to optimize capacity planning, material movement, shop floor management, and reporting required.
- Must be a hands on, willing to engage directly on the production floor.
- Strong combination of business operations, quality, continuous improvement, process development and program management experience to provide unique solutions to dynamic range of problems.
- Experience in implementing automatization and AI processes is a plus
