EO/AA/VEV/Disabled Employer -----Ethos Affirms and Supports Diversity COVID-19 Vaccine Required Sign-on and Retention Bonus available Ethos is looking for an experienced Director that will manage the day-to-day and long range decision-making responsibilities under the general direction of the Chief Operating Officer, ensure smooth functioning of the Home Care (HC) Department in the provision of effective consumer services in accordance with agency mission and Executive Office of Elder Affairs (EOEA) standards. Primary responsibility for the management of the Home Care programs: Home Care, ECOP, Choices, Over Income, and others as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer. Responsible for the management, coordination, and supervision of HC supervisors and staff. Be knowledgeable about EOEA standards, disseminate that information effectively to staff, and operationalize department practices to promote compliance with same. DUTIES: 1. With Chief Operating Officer, develop departmental plan and program objectives. Implement objectives for all assigned programs. 2. Supervise departmental program managers: 3. Together with the Chief Operating Officer, serve as a program liaison with regulatory and funding agencies: 4. Design, develop and implement new programs and program enhancements for assigned programs. This may include communicating with other ASAPs to research best practices. 5. Participate as requested in grant proposals to obtain relevant funding. 6. Monitor departmental budget to ensure that programs’ costs stay within budget and that funds are utilized most efficiently; review with Chief Operating Officer or Chief Financial Officer as appropriate. 7. Communicate information on Home Care programs to the community and provider agencies; coordinate public relations and outreach activities, as appropriate. Serve as the primary HC liaison to other agency programs, including Senior Care Options, Personal Care Attendant, Nutrition, CAE/CSSM, Ombudsman, Counseling and Support Services, Community Relations, and others. 8. Together with the Chief Operating Officer, oversee departmental quality improvement and quality management process, including consumer satisfaction surveys. 9. In partnership with the QI Director, coordinate monitoring of documentation and compliance for Home Care unit. Schedule training needed to assure compliance. 10. Coordinate, prepare and analyze required statistics and reports as requested by the Chief Operating Officer. 11. Oversee the Internal Review Committee, reviewing appeals and waiver requests. 12. Develop and maintain a working relationship with community groups, professional resources and referral sources. 13. Serve as an agency liaison to the Adult Protective Services program. Attend external meetings to represent Ethos. Serve on intra- and interagency committees at the direction of the Chief Operating Officer. 14. Represent the Agency at EOEA, ASAP, AAA committee meetings, etc. 15. Interface with EOEA as needed, including the filing of and response to Critical Incident Reports. 16. Under the guidance of the Chief Operating Officer, primary responsibility for meeting the standards of, and preparing for, EOEA Designation Reviews, and associated corrective action planning and implementation. 17. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Master's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Business Administration, or an RN, or BA degree with relevant 8 years of professional experience. 2. Significant case management experience including a minimum of three years as a supervisor in a directly related social service organization. 3. Knowledge of and experience working with elders. 4. Ability to meet consumers in the location of their choice. 5. Must be able to drive or travel in an efficient manner. 6. Ability to traverse at least 2 flights of stairs. 7. Excellent interpersonal, written communication, verbal communication, and organization skills. 8. Intermediate Microsoft Office experience (including e-mail, internet, word processing skills, plus ability to create spreadsheets required).
