Position Summary: The Director of Evaluation and Strategy guides the Undergraduate Admissions counseling team in the evaluation and selection process. The primary responsibility of the position is to help design and execute an operational plan created under the leadership of the Senior Director and Assistant Vice President of Undergraduate Admissions to evaluate and select first-year and transfer applications to the 10 undergraduate schools and colleges in New York (over 100,000 applications for 2020-2021) in support of Enrollment Management Goals. The incumbent will be expected to: Make recommendations to the Senior Director and Assistant Vice President of Undergraduate Admissions to modify application review strategies and admissions policies and procedures based on data analysis. Liaise with internal middle management and school liaisons to assess and recommend more efficient processes for evaluation and selection. Collaborate with other enrollment management leadership, including the SVP for Enrollment Management and Enrollment Management Strategy team on admissions decisions and predictive modeling for all 10 undergraduate schools, colleges and programs in New York. Provide day to day leadership and oversight of decision making and relationship building related to professional and artistic schools and programs. This requires supervising a total team of 8-12 staff including two associate directors as direct reports. Coordinate with internal Operations, Marketing and Communications, and Counseling divisions of the Undergraduate Admissions Office to update and maintain Slate in support of the evaluation & selection process as well as general data collection and analysis. Provide oversight and support to the management of undergraduate admissions with respect to the use of evaluation and recruitment data and analysis.Qualifications: Required Education:

Required Experience:
7+ years progressively responsible professional experience with undergraduate administration or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include previous experience in managing staff, and in an admissions office or academic setting including student recruitment, financial aid or student life.

Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of Slate CRM. Significant exposure to a highly selective, complex, and large volume college admissions operation. Experience using databases to predict applicant behavior including experience with regression models and/or relevant predictive analysis tactics. Experience with scheduling and/or events planning.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Valid driver’s license. Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, and strategic problem solving skills. Strong data analysis and technical skills with experience in developing actionable recommendations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build strong relationships.
