QUALIFICATIONS: 1. An Associates or BA degree or extensive experience in a related field. REPORTS TO: Superintendent, or assigned designee JOB GOAL: To provide all students with a physical learning environment that is safe, clean, PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: CUSTODIAL AND GROUNDS 1. Manages maintenance staff, head custodians, custodians, custodial substitutes and summer help. 2. Assists with the maintenance employment assignment, transfers, promotions, demotions, evaluations, dismissal recommendations for custodial and maintenance personnel. 3. Organizes & implements training and orientation of maintenance and custodial personnel. 4. Insures proper purchasing and use of custodial supplies and equipment. MAINTENANCE/LIFE SAFETY 1. Manage daily work orders and preventative maintenance tasks. ENERGY PURCHASE AND CONSUMPTION 1. Actively participate in the purchasing and decision making related to the purchase of gas and electric. 2. Pursue grants and conservation opportunities offered through local, state and federal organizations. CONSTRUCTION PLANNING AND COORDINATING FISCAL RESPONSIBILITIES Assume responsibilities for all other duties as assigned . TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve (12) months a year. Salary and work year to be approved by EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of support personnel. 5. Coordinates with staff and community for the maintenance and set up of buildings, fields and grounds.
6. Oversees snow removal efforts including seeing to the ordering of supplies and equipment and the maintenance of the equipment.
7. Responsible for the pest management plan.
2. Develop schedule to correct life safety issues within required time frame.
3. Keep informed and assist with the compliance of all federal, state and local requirements pertaining to maintenance and operations including inspection, standards and record keeping.
1. Assists with the review of proposed projects and provide appropriate input.
2. Represent the school district when working with architects, engineers, and other parties as needed.
1. Assists in the preparation of the annual budget for all accounts associated with buildings and grounds.
2. Make recommendations for the purchase of services, equipment, and supplies.
3. Assist with the creation of bid documents, attend bid meetings, and the decision making in order to meet the best interest of the district.
4. Approve daily purchase orders and P-Card purchases.
