Job Description


Mandiant Managed Defense is a Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service that combines industry-recognized cyber security expertise, FireEye technology, and unparalleled knowledge of attackers to identify threats early in the attacker lifecycle to minimize the potential impact of a breach. Mandiant Managed Defense is continuously fueled by the industry’s largest global cyber threat intelligence capability that harnesses machine, campaign, adversary and victim intelligence gained from the frontlines of the world’s most consequential cyber-attacks enabling us to reveal even the most sophisticated attacker.

As the Director, Managed Defense, you will provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to a team of insanely bright Managed Defense Consultants (MDCs), as they execute on their mission to find evil and delight clients. The role is directly tied to the success of the Managed Defense organization, as it serves as an integral foundation of our core service offering to customers. Top candidates have a customer-centric operational delivery focus, understanding of network and endpoint forensics, collaborative spirit, strong problem-solving skills, proven leadership abilities, are able to communicate effectively to people at various layers, make timely and well thought out decisions, and possess seasoned client relationship management experience. To that end, you will lead roughly 5-7 MDCs, with varying levels of experience and roles within the organization and work cross-functionally with their peers in other regions to form a cohesive and singular unit across the globe. This leadership role has wide discretion to act in the best interest of their customers, including direct client interaction and orchestrating activities from peer groups, professional services, sales, or the engineering organizations. Together with their peers, they have the autonomy to set the pace, agenda, and the ‘how’ we deliver services to our clients

  • Responsible for managing and maintaining multiple customer relationships throughout various industry verticals

Qualifications


Requirements:

  • 9+ years of technical experience in one of the following areas: security operations, incident response, incident detection, malware analysis, threat response
  • 3+ years working with Windows and Unix operating systems and relevant tools, and network security concepts and tools
  • 4+ years' experience with endpoint and network detection and protection
  • 4+ years working with information security challenges and solutions; while staying current with industry trends
  • 5+ years' experience in both strategic and tactical thinking in how you approach issues and present solutions
  • 4+ years' gathering, analyzing, executing, and assessing outcomes on key initiatives based on quantitative and qualitative data from a variety of sources
  • 5+ years' experience with customer engagement and/or customer relationship
  • 5+ years' communicating and presenting, both written and verbally, to key stakeholders, leadership, partners, and team members
  • Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship
