Job Description
The HR Director is a key member of Encompass Digital Media’s People Team, responsible for all people-based activity for the company’s business in North America (NA), with facilities in Atlanta, Stamford and Minneapolis. The position is located at the company’s headquarters in Atlanta, GA.
The HR Director will promote and deliver people initiatives, programs and processes that are necessary to meet the needs of the NA business, serving as a liaison to the company’s senior operational and corporate management, while acting as an advocate and service provider to EDM’s employees. The role will lead a team of support professionals to deliver excellent results, for management and employees alike, while championing a performance driven culture and boosting employee morale across the business.
The HR Director will:
Oversee employee onboarding and exit process for all North America employees
Support employee engagement, through communication of people initiatives and using a service-provider approach to the resolution of employment-related issues
Oversee North America HRIS data integrity
Build valuable working relationship with key business leaders to support and execute people management practices
Provide management information reporting on detailed cost analysis of headcount
Partner with other senior leaders to manage relationships with NA benefit service providers and brokers, and in overseeing compensation practices
Ensure best practice recruitment and restructuring processes are maintained and identify strategies that will help meet organizational changes
Provide management and oversight for all NA related policy and process documents, ensuring all documents are stored centrally and are up to date
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed/required.
Manage Affirmative Action program including manager education and reporting requirements
Work collaboratively with the global team on identified people projects
Familiarity with Affirmative Action and Equal Employment requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, HR or related field
PHR or other HR Certification
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, particularly in GA, CT and MN
Strong communication and interpersonal skills required for collaboration, coaching, and influencing at all levels
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
