What You’ll do
As the leader of the Sales Finance Governance and Compliance team, you will lead a team that is responsible for compliance within Cisco’s sales teams. Your team will work cross functionally with multiple sales, finance, and operational teams to enable transformational capabilities within the company.
Your team owns multiple SOX controls, policies and procedures as well as compliance input into our systems and new business models. You will be the go-to person for sales compliance guidance, training and policy setting. You will interface regularly with multiple members of CFO staff to discuss and provide recommendations on compliance related issues.
Who You'll Work With
In this critical role, you will work cross functionally with Customer and Partner Services, IT and Sales Finance leadership to provide guidance on process and systems updates. You will work with key contacts from Sales Finance and be responsible for communicating a central message of compliance to the teams that support sales in each region.
You will also collaborate with the SOX PMO, GRC (Internal Audit) and CCI (Cisco Investigations) teams on compliance issues that arise. You will work closely with the Commercial Finance Operations team on deal approval and bookings processes and controls.
Who You Are
You are a strong communicator and excellent multitasker, enjoying working in a fast-paced environment with deadlines. You have knowledge of accounting and understanding of financial statements and commercial risk. You have strong executive presentation skills with experience. As new issues arise, you can change focus and priority to help deliver on urgent projects in short timelines.
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/ Accounting, MBA or other Finance related degree
Prior audit experience and knowledge of SOX guidelines (Big 4 preferred)
Demonstrated ability to take ownership for multiple concurrent projects and drive success
Experience working with cross functional teams in a global environment
Experience in the technology sector or with a channels business model
Knowledge of Cisco deal systems and bookings processes is a plus, but not required
