Job Description


The Role

The role of the Director, DT Innovations is Leadership role where you will drive the exploration and evaluation of new product ideas across our current focus and beyond. A pivotal role in the future proofing ServiceNow Digital Technology, you will be responsible for partnering with our Leadership, Service Owners, Business Users and our colleagues to build a product innovation pipeline, evaluation framework and process, and the team to execute it for the organization.

Your Responsibility:

  • Define the product innovation framework used to identify and evaluate potential ideas.
  • Build and lead a cross functional team to research and evaluate the most impactful ideas.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering and Community teams leveraging their knowledge and expertise and gaining their support throughout the process.
  • Stay current with industry, product and market trends to identify potential ideas and disruptors and share with leadership based on opportunity and/or threat.
  • Participate in discussions and evaluations surrounding partnerships, acquisitions or investments to build for new product innovation ideas that have been approved.
  • Engage with current and potential customers for feedback on potential product ideas and work with the Marketing, Sales and Finance team to identify the TAM, Industry research and revenue opportunities.
  • Leverage internal and external data along with qualitative research to increase confidence in the opportunity for impact within our vision and mission of the best new product ideas.
  • Create the format and content to report out to senior leadership and the rest of the organization on the product innovation progress and recommendations.

Qualifications


Requirements:

  • 12+ years product experience with at least 2 years in leadership roles.
  • Experience in Product MVP development, innovation and/or incubation initiatives
  • A track record of and a desire to operate in a greenfield environment, building new teams, frameworks, and processes. Make decisions quickly and iterate as you learn and progress.
  • Strong, adaptive communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate succinctly to senior leadership, empathize with users, and collaborate effectively with functional colleagues.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills to objectively analyze the benefits and risks of new product ideas that progress through the pipeline.

Required in Office

A required in office work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office. This persona is required to work from their assigned workplace location 100% of the work week based on the business needs of their role.

Flexible

A flexible work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office and will work from their assigned workplace location roughly 3 days/week or less (generally around 40-60% of the work week). Flexible employees may choose to work the remaining working time from their workplace location or home. Flexible employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.

Remote

A remote work persona is defined as an employee who performs their responsibilities exclusively outside of a ServiceNow workplace and is not contracted or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office, including those whose place of work (pursuant to their terms and conditions of employment) is their home. Remote employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
