Director DE&I, ESG Impact, and Corporate Giving Programs (Remote/Hybrid Eligible)

ASRC Federal is looking for a Director to lead enterprise-wide DE&I, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Impact, and Corporate Giving Programs who will play a leadership role in helping to further define, implement, and scale the organization's strategy for positive community impact, diversity, equity, and inclusion activities, as well as leading and reporting on our Corporate Giving initiatives.
This position will report to the Chief Human Resources Officer.
Role/Responsibilities
- Oversee ASRC Federal's DE&I and corporate social responsibility activities to drive company strategy and values at the Enterprise Level while engaging teams across the business portfolio at Operating Group and Division levels
- Understand the business needs/priorities; and translates these insights into an executable DE&I/ESG strategy
- Collaborate with Corporate Communications, Human Resources, and Growth organizations to promote ESG & DEI initiatives by developing strategic ESG & DEI communications plans tailored to key stakeholders (employees, customers, shareholders, social media, etc.)
- Work collaboratively across all areas of the organization to guide and inform employees on best practices for creating a more diverse and inclusive work environment
- Ensures that talent, diversity, and performance outcomes are effectively analyzed, reported, and actioned across the Enterprise
- Work directly with the data owners to ensure they have a solid understanding of reporting needs and are providing all required data
- Position and effectively articulate our unique employment brand, playing a key role in increasing awareness and equity of the ASRC Federal Brand and relevant industry
recognitions - Develop and foster strong relationships with external community and professional groups focused on improving diversity representation and inclusive workplace cultures, foster a culture of diversity within ASRC Federal that creates a positive, rewarding, and inclusive work environment
- Keep abreast of philanthropic opportunities that align with ASRC Federal Mission and Corporate Giving Strategy
- Build community engagement and DEI programs for the organization
- Assess existing and develop new company-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion programs
- Actively and effectively manage the planning and execution of internal and external DE&I programs
- Research, develop, recommend, and execute creative strategies to foster DE&I goals
- Build relationships with internal diversity leaders, diversity professionals at peer and other companies, leaders of diversity organizations and diversity professionals in the community
- Oversee the collaboration with Enterprise Resource Group (ERG) leaders and members to conceptualize and organize DE&I events
- Be a strategic advisor to ERG's, guiding alignment with enterprise-wide strategy and engagement with initiatives
- Support and sponsor existing and new Employee Resource Groups
- Bring DE&I philosophy and methods to talent management and business programs across the enterprise
- Scale DE&I programs and tools by designing processes and procedures that can be piloted and implemented broadly across the organization partners with Talent Acquisition to draft and implement recruiting and hiring strategies to attract employees from diverse background
- Enhance campus recruitment efforts by partnering the Talent Acquisition team with business leaders to develop, implement and oversee college recruiting plans that meet diversity hiring goals for graduate hires and internship programs
- Engage business leaders, hiring managers and recruiters on best practices to improve candidate experience, candidate engagement and evaluate and serve as an advocate for the candidate experience at every step of the recruiting process
- Proactively identify areas to drive positive change, including but not limited to reviewing employee feedback, incorporating a diverse lens to processes and services, bolstering hiring to build a diverse talent pool, implementing additional required diversity, equity & inclusion training
- Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices
- Monitor external diversity best practices and make recommendations for new initiatives
Knowledge and Experience
- 10-12 years of work experience in the related field
- Bachelor's Degree preferred in Communications, Marketing, Organizational Development, or Human Resources
- Experience building DE&I Programs, Communications, or Consulting in a related field
- Proven success working in a matrix environment, influencing without direct authority, and leading large scale, complex initiatives
- Ability to analyze data and proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PPT)

- Demonstrated understanding of cultural values and norms of various communities, particularly of communities of color, LGBTQIA+ and underserved communities
- Strong conflict management and conflict resolution skills
- Must be able to problem solve and adapt quickly to changing circumstances
- Strong emotional intelligence and judgment; demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across lines of difference, and points of view
- Strong knowledge of human resources management and employment law, including but not limited to EEO provisions; demonstrated judgment in managing organizational risk, a plus
- Ability to design, track, analyze, and report key metrics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion and measure and report on critical outcomes
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to multi-task
- Strong communication skills, including strong writing and the ability to craft communications, presentations, and responses
- Self-motivated problem solver who can work well under pressure and tight deadlines
- Experienced at building key relationships internally and externally
