Royal Community Supports is looking for a self-motivated, energetic Direct Support Professional to support an Individual who lives in Ridgewood, NJ

Ridgewood - Looking for a DSP role that goes beyond supervision and personal care? Want to be a mentor and partner in adventures? This might be the position for you. Independent minded individual seeking a mature and responsible DSP to provide emotional support & companionship during life's adventures. Those adventures include trying new recipes, shopping, arts & crafts, listening to live music, and helping the individual get where needed and find new adventures. Great position for someone who loves to have varied experiences and wants to focus on community involvement. Some flexibility with hours and days, but basic schedule is: Mondays 10/11- 5, Thursdays 4-8, Friday 6-10, Saturday 1-5/6 or evening hours (for live music!). This individual doesn't let COVID stop the show, so looking for someone who is likeminded and will be comfortable in social situations. $22/hr

• A 401K is a benefit that is available to employees who have successfully completed their 90-day introductory period to Royal. Employees who have are eligible to enroll the following month. Qualifications:

• Must be able to recognize that disability is a label and not a description

• Staff must remember that you are working for a person and not a label
• Must be 18 years old or older
• Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a car
• Must have valid driver's license and good driving record
• Must be willing to have a background check
• Must be be willing to take a drug screening
• Must be authorized to legally work in the United States

Starting Pay Rate:

$22 per hour
