WHAT YOU WILL DO: Direct Care Staff / Travel Companions will exclusively travel with the children discharged from the program and who are being reunited with family members. When the staff is not traveling with clients they will work in the UAC facility as Direct Care Staff. They manage the behavior of UAC through approved treatment modalities and adhering to ORR standards, state licensing standards, and GCJFCS policies/procedures. They serve as positive role models to the residents, provide crisis intervention, provide necessary transportation, and render first aid when necessary. They are supervised by the Assistant Program Director, or, in his/her absence, by the Shift Supervisor, with the Program Director’s direction.
