Essential Job Duties: · Read and understand waited service handbook. Demonstrates hospitality service to residents, other staff members, and leadership. Follows through with requests from residents as demonstrated though satisfaction surveys and responses daily. Communicates needs of residents to leadership, follows through. Complies with Gold check standards for Retirement Services. · Maintain sanitary kitchen and dining room following the daily and weekly cleaning procedure schedules. Follows through with cleaning as request. See opening and closing check list. · Follow federal, state, and city sanitary regulations and adhere to proper safety procedures, sanitation procedures, and CGP cleaning schedules. · Dishwashing duties as scheduled. · Works with cooks on menu details. · Set up dining rooms in an attractive manner. · Works with confidential information. Inappropriate repeating of such information to others would be a violation of the Residents’ Bill of Rights. Other Duties: · Follow established performance standards and performs duties according to facility policies and procedures. · Report to work on time and work all scheduled days. On time is defined as being on your assigned workstation no later than 3:45pm for evening shift and 10:30am for Holiday and Sunday brunch. · Reliable and consistent physical attendance, in compliance with our policies, is required. · Contributes to a positive, healthy and safe work environment. · Accepts change in a positive manner. · Attend in-service training and education sessions, as assigned to maintain eligible status on DCW Registry and continued employment. · Maintain current certification. · Other tasks as assigned. Qualifications: Preferred: · Able to perform basic arithmetic, understand measurements. · Able to follow written and oral instructions. · Possess a willingness to learn. Access to Medical Records: None Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: · Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time for up to 90% of the workday. · Demonstrate physical dexterity in moving, bending, stooping and pulling for up to 90% of the workday. · Able to move promptly, especially in emergency situations. · Resident-lifting tasks, the maximum recommended weight limit is thirty-five (35) pounds, but even less when the task is performed under less than ideal circumstances. · May be subject to offensive odors and combative behavior. · Communicates orally and/or in writing with residents, coworkers, families and public. · Ability use both hands and arms simultaneously.
