Position: Dining Assistant
Type: Part-Time Hourly Seasonal
Reports To: Chef or House Director (varies by location)
Supervises: N/A
Summary: The Dining Assistant duties as assigned for the meal service management and maintenance of the dining room and at times the kitchen where needed.
Primary Roles:
- Follow all Tri Delta Fraternity and chapter policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings and any requested training sessions.
- Assist supervisor to establish an orderly environment.
- Assist in ensuring dining rooms clean, orderly and free from unnecessary hazards and dangers.
- Assist in ensuring the meal service operates efficiently.
- Submit work hours for payroll through an online payroll system.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in cleaning the dining room.
- Assist in taking out trash daily.
- Assist in washing dishes after each meal where needed.
- Assist in waiter and table bussing as needed.
- Promptly notify the supervisor and/or house director of any maintenance problems or unsafe conditions in or around the kitchen.
- Properly care for supplies.
- Observe kitchen, dining and chapter rules, as determined by the chapter, chef, and house director. (varies by location)
- Refrain from the use of alcohol or drugs in and around the chapter territory.
- Maintain a professional relationship with all chapter member and residents, employees, and volunteers.
- Notify supervisor and/or house director or any accidents or injuries while on duty, immediately.

- Meet specified physical requirements of lifting no more than 40 lbs, standing on the tile floor for long periods of time, and use of hands to handle and control tools.
