As an experienced digital marketer at Live Oak Bank, you are an important leader that provides valuable guidance and digital expertise to all the bank’s stakeholders. Digital Marketing Specialist III has significant ownership of specific areas and disciplines within digital marketing offering holistic strategies, innovative solutions, and confident leadership, driving the bank and its people towards our goals. This person must be a strategic thinker, problem solver and a well-rounded marketer with a strong understanding of our customers. This person must also demonstrate management potential, if called upon.
What You’ll Do at Live Oak
- Provide digital strategies and insights in alignment with the entire marketing and sales funnels at all levels – awareness, consideration, and decision
- Communicate and collaborate confidently with internal stakeholders in marketing, sales, and bank leadership to collectively set goals and strategies, then facilitate execution and reporting
- Select, execute, measure, and optimize the performance of campaigns using a variety of common digital tactics
- Proactively offer creative thinking, ideas, and solutions to business partners based on data
- Deliver clear thought leadership on digital strategies and best practices
- Seek learning and development opportunities for their team and themselves to grow in career progression
How You’ll Do It
- Manage various aspects of the digital marketing funnel, which may include a mix of PPC/digital advertising, search engine marketing, social media marketing, email marketing, landing pages and forms as well as respective budgets
- Be a key partner and expert on the current marketing technology stack with keen understanding of how each platform works and integrates with others
- Consult and partner with internal stakeholders to ensure new, redesigned, and/or migrated website pages are properly optimized, including compiling and presenting SEO guidelines, providing recommendations, and helping with QA
- Analyze keywords and SEO techniques used by competitors and incorporate into our common practices
- Evangelize best practices across our team to ensure all digital assets and content that are pushed live have been seen through an SEO ‘lens’
- Proper management and understanding of data, ensuring data is appropriately captured and moves through various platforms for tracking and reporting purposes
- Create lead capture opportunities and properly map data fields into Salesforce-based environments and other platform integrations across the bank
- Prepare and review reporting of KPIs to identify potential optimizations and measure success
- Build automated workflows to attract and nurture prospects as a part of inbound marketing while assisting our presales team with outbound marketing efforts
- Utilize best practices to create and deploy prospect and customer emails and surveys at salient moments
- Use competitive research and intelligence to implement digital marketing tactics
- Work cross-functionally to lead and execute digital campaigns with marketing analysts and create content strategies driven by data to shape content creation roadmap
- Monitor key platforms like Google Analytics, HubSpot reporting, and other website tracking tools to measure traffic and page conversion; optimize web assets to improve performance and visibility
- Collaborate with the product/UX development teams to improve website user experience and SEO enhancements from mobile to desktop
- Participates in weekly team calls to collaborate with fellow digital marketers and others in marketing while possessing the ability to work quickly and independently
- Position can be 100% remote/work from home; office space available if needed at headquarters in Wilmington, NC
Required and Preferred Experience
- Proven success as a Digital Marketing Specialist II at Live Oak Bank or 8+ years of experience in a digital marketing/marketing role required, preferably within the financial services industry or a marketing agency
- Bachelor’s degree in New Media Studies, Marketing, Communications or Information Technology is preferred
- Working knowledge of HubSpot’s marketing hub, or equivalent marketing platforms, is ideal but not required; HubSpot Certifications are a plus
- Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager; certifications are a plus
- Proficiency in common platforms like Salesforce, Google Ads, WordPress, social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn & YouTube); Basic HTML coding skills are a plus
- Must have a strong technology background with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in banking/finance and B2B marketing is a plus
