Under the general direction of the Clinical Nutrition Service Manager assesses nutritional risk and need for medical nutrition therapy in accordance with the physician’s diagnoses, nursing, other members of the multi-disciplinary team and requirements of regulatory agencies to ensure a nutrition care plan is developed and implemented. Develops knowledge and skills as appropriate for patients ranging in age from neonatal through the life span.
1. Experience: 6 months
Prefer one year experience in clinical nutrition, but not required.
2. Education & Training:
B.S. in Food and Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition or Medical Dietetics. Internship or comparative experience in Clinical Dietetics.
3. License, Certification & Registration:
PA State Licensure, Registration or registration eligibility with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist required. Optional membership in the American Dietetic Association.
4. Other Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to read and write English. Must be able to establish goals and follow through with it. Must have ability to work in a team environment.
