We’re seeking a responsible for the preparation of menus for all diet types and daily forecast for food production and assisting the clinical dietitian and diet technicians. Directly communicates with patients regarding meal preferences and diets. Provides direct quality customer service in all aspects of the job.

In this position you will:

• Demonstrate age specific patient care considerations for the population served: Demonstrates application of knowledge, skills, and behaviors in the physical, motor/sensory, cognitive, psychosocial, patient and family education areas based on PEMC age specific care competency assessment tool.
• Provide food to patients and families: Produces and maintain patient diet information from computer, review diet needs with patient or family, modify as needed.
• Prepare food for patients: Prepares nourishment's, supplements, food and floor stock following patient/unit specific needs.
• Deliver & pick up patient meal trays: Assures patient meals are delivered and retrieved in a timely manner following safety according to department/hospital standards.
• Assure tube feeding orders are calculated and processed: Accurately demonstrate the ability to prepare all tube feeding orders per diet order.
• Complete daily sanitation tasks: Assure food safety is followed through cleaning equipment and work area daily and as needed

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

• Current Food Handlers Permit in Washington State
• Direct customer service experience
• Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

• Food service experience in health care setting
