The product teams are key enablers of our success, immersing themselves in every aspect of the product development lifecycle – from strategy ideation to launch execution and everything in between.What you will be doing
We are seeking a strategic technical leader to oversee the Device Certification team’s product evaluation and certification process, ensuring 5G capabilities across our Retail Wireless division prior to market launch. The successful Device Certification Lead will serve as the primary facilitator for conveying network requirements from the DISH 5G network team (e.g. RF band support, network feature deployments), tracking development and communicating the roadmap across the Retail Wireless organization. In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with the DISH team to develop certification processes and test scripts for new network requirements, outlining expected behaviors and performance pass/fail criteria;
• Define test execution protocols, test script steps and equipment requirements;
• Identify test locations, including any first- or third-party lab facilities that are required for the specific test scripts;
• Log and track issues and bugs identified through the course of testing;
• Support Retail Wireless Product Development Technical Leads with new technology testing, as needed.

Skills and Experience
Ideal Device Certification Lead candidates have:

• Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent;

• Three or more years experience in mobile product network certification on network-specific configurations (e.g. DNN/APN, eSIM), network feature testing (e.g. RF conformance and parametric testing, VoNR, RCS, roaming) and OSS/BSS integration;
• Three or more years experience in network certification tools and capabilities;
• One or more years of technical leadership in new feature development and roadmap management;
• Prior experience with 5G network product certification is required;
• Prior involvement in wireless standards forums, preferred.
