Under the supervision of the Director of Development, this position is responsible for assisting in the planning and coordinating for all Advancement communications and executing this plan for both internal and external audiences. This includes annual solicitations, email communications, creating content for the Laker magazine, social media, and our Day of Giving marketing efforts. The Coordinator assists team with all aspects of fundraising, including donor relations, alumni strategies, annual, major, and planned giving.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree required.
Experience: One year’s experience in fundraising in an education setting preferred. Experience cultivating relationships with potential donors is strongly desired. Familiarity with marketing, social media, alumni, donor, and board relations preferred. Must have a working knowledge of word processing and database management (Blackbaud strongly preferred). Detail-oriented with excellent follow through skills. Ability to work independently within a small team.
