Brooks Respite and Recovery Center and BestCare Treatment Services is recruiting for a Detox Technician, RN or LPN! This position will be required to work the overnight shift and to be available to work any days including holidays. This is a Full Time regular position (36 hours/week minimum) that includes a competitive benefits package, FOUR WEEKS of paid time off, NINE recognized holidays, and a retirement account option. Job Relationships: Language: English – written & spoken required; bi-lingual preferred Education / Licensure: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) Duties: Minimum Requirements: Have the training, knowledge, and/or experience demonstrating competence in the treatment of the disease of addiction, including the management of withdrawal; client evaluation; motivational counseling techniques; and the taking and recording of vital signs. Have the ability to work independently, have the skills to be a team player, as well as get along with co-workers. Possess the ability to network with all resources in order to provide the best customer service. Use good customer service skills with the clients or family members seeking help from BCTS. At the time of employment, must be currently certified in first aid methods including cardiopulmonary resuscitation. For individuals recovering from the disease of alcoholism and/or from other drug addiction, have maintained continuous sobriety for the immediate past two years at the time of hire. Tools and Equipment Used: All Detox staff must be proficient in the use of computers, sufficient to use the EMR software program and produce routine End of Shift reports; to do intake and client documentation. Additionally, must be able to use the following: blood pressure machines (digital and manual, glucometers, fax machine, copy machine, telephone).
