SALARY RANGE: $81,600 - $129,000 (SS II)
Insure the Detector Group and its facilities are fully equipped to pursue the development of MPGDs for nuclear physics and bio-medical projects.
Ph.D. in physics and 5 years of experience in experimental nuclear or high energy physics gas-based detector simulation, design and construction.
Ability to develop MPGD systems, including development of readout electronics and data acquisition systems. Familiarity with scintillators, photomultipliers and solid state detectors.
Demonstrated programming skills as applied to data acquisition instrumentation and data analysis.
Demonstrated ingenuity and creativity with the ability to work with a team.
Ability to author and co-author publications refereed publications and conference papers.
