Probation: 180 Days Lunch: Unpaid
Work Hours: 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, receives complaints, issues summons and/or warrants as
received, issues release forms on prisoners upon receipt of bonds.
QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of training and work experience which indicates possession of the skills, knowledge and abilities listed above.
An example of an acceptable qualification for this position is:
Completion of secondary education and demonstrable skills in typing and computer data
understand and follow written and oral instructions.
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Ohio Valid Driver’s License
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Receives criminal complaints and issues summons and/or warrants as advised by
2. Reports to work one Saturday every 6 weeks for 2 hours for purpose of receiving
the 48-hour rule.
3. Issues receipts for traffic and criminal bonds, waivers, fines, costs and all monies
4. Works cases coming out of Court on court days (i.e. collects fines & costs,
signing by defendants and assures mailing to appropriate locations)
5. Issues releases from jail for prisoners on traffic and criminal cases upon receipt of
6. Issues commitments to jail for prisoners on traffic and criminal cases.
7. Prepares, numbers and secures Judge’s dockets for Court dates and appearances.
8. Exclusively responsible for phones and Clerk’s window at specific times.
9. Enters return information into computer, locates and attach to cases.
10. Calculates and enters costs for service fees into computer.
11. Receives bonds daily from Warren County Jail and receipts same.
12. Fills in as warrant clerk in the absence of the warrant clerk.
13. Receives and directs general public, visitors and official personnel.
14. Receives incoming calls and refers to appropriate personnel.
15. Accepts messages and provides general information.
16. Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
17. Interacts with other employees in office on daily basis for smooth, efficient and
effective operation of office.
18. Follows all safety and health practices of Warren County government agencies.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs miscellaneous filing duties.
2. Performs computer data entry duties as assigned.
3. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
