The Deputy Assistant Emergency Response Program Director – Child Services (Healing Hill) will support the Assistant Emergency Response Program Director-Child Services in the management and oversight of the education, recreation, and religious services to the children admitted to the ORR EIS at Ft. Bliss. Responsibilities: - Responsible for the successful coordination of education, recreation, and religious services for the children admitted to the ORR EIS at Ft. Bliss Healing Hill.
- Coordinate day-to-day staffing requirements to ensure proper staffing levels for the various education, recreation, and religious services.
- Assist in the oversight of the successful implementation and maintenance of the safety planning, programming, and training for family reunification services in accordance with project requirements
- Ensure compliance with Office of Refugee and Resettlement (ORR) unaccompanied child (UC) assessments in accordance with ORR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with ORR and company policies in accordance with contract requirements.
- Monitors and reports program execution status with CHS leadership and Chenega corporate office.
- Coordinate review/evaluation of services delivered to the children admitted to the ORR EIS at Fort Bliss facility.
- Evaluate program performance criteria then analyze, recommend, and report findings on a regular basis.
- Coordinate review/evaluation of the project's obstacles, risks, and constraints and effectively plan around them
- Provide weekly status reports to Assistant Program Director-Child Services that inspire as well as capture progress and issues.
- Report significant incidents in accordance with ORR policies and procedures.
- Implement company initiatives to ensure compliance with OSHA VPP, ISO, JCAHO, AAAHC, and other mandated regulations/standards.
- Others duties as assigned
Qualifications: - Bilingual in both Spanish and English.
- A combination of one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in a social service or related filed with a total of three (3) year supervisory/administrative experience or in process with a total of five (5) year supervisory/administrative experience.
- Master’s degree in social services or related field, with a total of one (1) year supervisory/administrative experience with at risk youth.
- Minimum One (1) year of supervisory experience or supervisory experience may be substituted for three (3) years of providing administrative support services in a complex team environment.
- Minimum One (1) plus year managing an emergency shelter or licensed care facility, preferably for migrant children.
- Preferred experience with educational and/or recreational services programs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Experience with managing the work of others
- Experience managing SCA contract employees, desirable
- Experience with providing client and stakeholder support in a fast-paced environment
- Must demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience working with DelTek and CostPoint is a plus
- Proficient with the Microsoft Suite
