The Support Specialist supports Doctors and Teams with world-class customer service while being an advocate for trusted clinical products and labs. As a Supplies, Labs & Equipment Support Specialist, you must convey the importance of using trusted dental products and labs, utilize strong customer services skills, and build strong relationships; while working in support of the Heartland Dental Vision and Mission.

This position reports to the Clinical Supplies Supervisor within the Procurement Department.

Responsibilities:

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:

  • Coordinate dental equipment orders with offices and suppliers, ensuring equipment arrives on time for installation
  • Collaborate with suppliers to provide creative solutions when offices have requests or modifications to projects
  • Collaborate with Accounting and Finance to obtain proper approvals and obtain necessary purchase order numbers for suppliers
  • Partner with Operations to provide front-line support to dental offices and teams with the procurement of trusted clinical supplies, labs and equipment; escalating issues to subject matter experts when necessary
  • Advocate for usage of Trusted Clinical Supplies and Diamond Trusted Labs; monitor offices with low utilization and work with offices to correct; provide necessary tools, resources and reporting
  • Guide and educate supported offices in Heartland Dental systems related to ordering, budgeting, saving and inventory management
  • Provide input to internal processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of support to offices
  • Document solutions into a shared knowledge-base to improve support and consistency in responses for supported offices
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree OR three (3) years of experience in customer service field
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact with co-workers in a collegial manner to accomplish common tasks
  • High level of maturity, personal initiative, and sound judgment
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks in a timely and responsive manner
  • Minimal overnight travel as necessary (quarterly or less)
  • Comfortable handling changes in projects as they arise
