Responsible for data entry, registration, run eligibility, collection, and balancing end of day activities. MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:Education: High School graduate or GED.Experience: Work in a health care setting in data entry/medical records/receptionist desired.Bilingual: English/Spanish desired. Skills:Self-starter. Organized.Good interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with people of varied cultures.Computer literate. Ability to use all office equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS include, but are not limited to: 1. Acknowledge/greet patients and process patients in accordance with CFHC’s patient flow model.2. Knowledge of eCW processes, IDCOP, Sliding Fee Scale, HIPAA, Joint Commission, Medical Record policy, scheduling, patient rights and grievance processes.3. Create new patient account. Retrieve established patient accounts from Medical Manager.4. Gather pertinent data on all patients: demographics, financial, educational and occupational (migrant/seasonal, other).5. Knowledge of verification of insurance coverage, run/check Eligibility obtains authorizations as needed. ( Medipass or HMO’s) 6. Collect appropriate money for visit per sliding fee scale and Co-Payments7. Review accuracy and completeness of claim at end of visit. Data entry, diagnosis codes, and money collected.8. Schedule new and follow-up appointments as needed.9. Maintain cash drawers. Complete end of day Daily Summary Sheet and balance activities for the day run the reports (Billing Summary, Individual users and all users report)10. All PCTAs will be cross-trained in all areas of medical and dental services.11. Complete reports as requested by management.12. Other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)1. Requires 80% or more time spent standing/sitting.2. Independently mobile.3. Lifting and/or transporting up to 20 lbs.
