Delivery Assurance Specialist Staff
Employment Type : Full-Time
As part of the Delivery Assurance team within Supply Management, interface and coordinate with suppliers or groups of assigned suppliers to ensure the input of accurate and reliable commit dates into the Supplier Delivery System (SDS) Portal.
- Development and maintenance of a variety of metrics and presentation materials for both the program and Supply Chain functional meetings and reviews.
- To support the ongoing Flight Test operations at NAVAIR in Pax River, MD.
- In conjunction with Operations and Program Management, work to ensure immediate turnaround of all needs to maximize Air Craft (A/C) flight time.
- Work hand in hand with the Procurement team to identify sources of supply to ensure support of both the Flight Test A/C and production line of new A/C.
- Using SAP identify inventory in other locations for transfer to fulfill needs.
- Work with suppliers to develop line of balance and Milestone plans and identify recovery to MRP for all shortage risks.
- Check previous suppliers for parts when current supplier schedules don't support customer need and coordinate with Supply Chain for issuance of PO's.
- Identify and investigate Tech Helps for priority closure.
- Follow established standard work to document issues related to the delivery of material and escalate when unable to mitigate the shortage.
Basic Qualifications:
Supply chain management or related experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Proficient Commination skills
Desired Skills:
- BA/BS Degree
- SAP
- Aerospace Supply chain management or related experience
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Attention to detail and ok with complex problems; prioritization / resolution / adaptability skills
- Background in government, international or commercial procurement a plus
- Specific competencies may include:
- thorough understanding of Sikorsky Purchasing Policies & Procedures.
- thorough understanding of Sikorsky Business Ethics and Codes of Conduct.
- thorough understanding of MRP, SAP, Supply Hub, Supplier Portal.
