THE POSITION If you enjoy working in a beautiful scenic environment, working outdoors and in law enforcement, working with the public while providing a service, being a respected role model, and working where no two days are alike, then Lyman Run State Park may be the place for you. The park is hiring a SEASONAL FULL TIME, WAGE (non-permanent) position to provide the public a safe and enjoyable environment for recreation and relaxation. This position is responsible for providing safety and law enforcement at Lyman Run State Park in Potter County. The DCNR Ranger patrols the park property and boundaries to ensure the safety of visitors and park grounds. Work may involve foot patrol, motorized vehicle, motor boat and bicycling patrols. A DCNR Ranger presents a professional image to the general public through uniform appearance, verbal skills, courtesies and knowledge of the Park's history. A DCNR Ranger takes charge of emergency situations, accidents, organizing search and rescue parties, and administers CPR and First Aid when needed. A DCNR Ranger works closely with the Fish & Boat and Game Commission Officers as well as Local and State Police to present evidence and witnesses, examines and cross examines witnesses, and testifies on behalf of the Commonwealth in court. A DCNR Ranger is responsible for completing daily logs and operates the Reservation and Revenue System. Qualifications:
