Position Summary:

The incumbent will be responsible for creating and maintaining enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using electronic health data – specifically Epic’s Clarity database as well as UCI’s Clinical Data Warehouse. The incumbent will work on a multidisciplinary team of developers within the Enterprise Data and Analytics Department and will collaborate with other institutions across the University of California Health. The incumbent will use UCI Health software such as Crystal Reports, SSIS, SSRS, Tableau, Epic Reporting Workbench, Epic Radar, etc. to deliver high quality reports and analytic solutions. The incumbent will work as part of multidisciplinary teams to create and maintain ongoing extracts to external reporting agencies such as Vizient, CDPH, Medisolv, NSQIP, etc. The focus of this position is on clinical and operational data – specifically data related to quality and patient safety. This includes quality metrics, regulatory requirements, and general clinical/operational reporting.


Salary Range: Annual Rate Minimum $74,000.00 Midpoint $108,500.00 Maximum $143,000.00 Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related filed and/or equivalent work experience Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to perform basic performance tuning to optimize queries to meet user needs 1+ year of data analytics experience using relational databases 1+ years of experience with SQL 1+ years of experience with MS SQL server, Oracle or other SQL RDMS as well as reporting tools such as SSRS, Tableau, Crystal Reports, etc Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Preferred Qualifications: Clarity Certification 2+ years of healthcare analytics experience 2+ years of experience working with EPIC EHR 2+ years of experience with SSRS, SSIS, Crystal Reports, and Tableau Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
