About the team and position
Carvana is looking for a knowledgeable and skilled compliance coordinator. This individual will be able to easily provide guidance to their team and support to peers. This person will serve as a role model and exemplify Carvana's culture, acting with the utmost integrity for the law and respect for our customers. This individual will possess outstanding investigative, collaborative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive informed and actionable solutions. Further, this individual will act as representative of our company to external parties and must be willing to take on that responsibility.
What you'll be doing
- Daily, you'll provide support for our registration team by:
- Reviewing customer paperwork to ensure accuracy and legal compliance
- Identify errors and inconsistent information and work to get them corrected promptly.
- Contacting customers to obtain any missing information for title and registration.
- Walking in registration paperwork to a local DMV and building a strong and sustainable relationship with our DMV counterparts
- Working directly with the leadership to correct paperwork errors for a quick resolution that helps our customer
- Inputting information into various databases to inform our team of what you see
- Serving as the local liaison, and expert, for the team for local title and registration compliance questions
- Act as a high-energy, forward-thinking self-starter.
- Other duties assigned.
What you should know
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education required.
- A good understanding of local Department of Motor Vehicle policies, procedures, and regulations as it relates to vehicle registration.
- One year of experience is preferred in vehicle registration processing.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure all aspects of the department are meeting title and registration regulatory standards.
- The ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with different teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and react to changing deadlines in a fast-paced work environment on short notice.
- Enthusiasm and energy to contribute to and thrive in a rapidly growing start-up atmosphere where roles continually adapt as the company evolves.
- Appetite for self-initiation to pre-emptively research issues on the company's horizon.
- Strong background in problem-solving and continuous improvement processes.
- Lover of dashboards, data, and metrics and comfortable using Google Suite.
- Willingness to have fun and learn new things is critical, we're all in this together!
- Travel within the state will be required 30% of the time
A QUALIFYING CANDIDATE MUST HAVE.
- 1-2 years of work experience in an administrative or data entry capacity
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to manage, organize, and reconcile multiple sources of information with accuracy
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Computer literacy and data entry skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to change
