As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Data & Analytics , in the Chicago area OR virtually. As a Data Analytics Manager, you will report directly to the Leader, Analystics & Strategy, Health Solutions and have a small tea m of direct reports which includes Data Analyst colleagues.

Your impact as a Data Analytics Manager

As an Data Analytics Manager you will become a driving force for change by working collaboratively to identify opportunities where advanced analytics can make a meaningful difference in driving revenue growth, operational efficiencies, product innovation, and consumer experience enhancements. This role will provide you with a broad portfolio of analytical and reporting projects stretching across a broad set of business functions: sales, marketing, finance, clients/carriers, operations and technology. This role will empower you to not only display your technical/analytical abilities and managerial skills but also showcase your strategic mind and consultative skills to deliver greater impact.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about working with data and driven to deliver creative and compelling solutions which turn data into actionable information for our business. The role will be responsible for managing a team of Analytics Consultants/Analysts on a portfolio of analytical projects that are aligned to key financial goals. The role will also be responsible for supporting the analyzing, designing and developing of innovative data visualization solutions to drive business insights. The ideal candidate will possess not only the technical skills but also strong strategic and consultative skills to identify & prioritize opportunities and provide business leaders with consultative guidance to continuously improve outcomes.

Responsibilities:
Hands-on leadership of a team of Analytics Consultants/Analysts, including recruitment, development, coaching/mentorship and performance management Providing thought leadership and insights on how to drive continuous and meaningful improvement across key financial, performance, and consumer metrics. Championing best-in-class data governance including, but not limited to: developing processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity applying rigor and enhanced structure to existing data analytics practices Facilitating business case development and prioritization of opportunities based on ROI & feasibility assessment by leveraging analytical insights and forecasting. Managing team’s analytical projects by: leveraging agile methodologies to partner across business functions applying rigorous project management practices to each project actively championing solution adoption across the business sharing project management expertise with team members Conducting interviews with key business stakeholders to translate business objectives into analytical project deliverables to realize business goals. Writing high-quality SQL code and organizing data structures to: efficiently drive scalable workflows and analyze data develop best-in-class “data wrangling” practices coach and mentor team members to produce similarly high-quality outputs Creating next generation, best-in-class Tableau visualizations by owning the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards to inform business decisions and improved outcomes.

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

Required Experience: Intellectual curiosity with a passion for insightful analytics, actionable solutions, and improved outcomes Proven success in building and leading high-performance teams in a matrixed organization 5+ years of hands-on experience in business analytics 5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL and data preparation/wrangling 5+ years designing and developing Tableau dashboards with a firm understanding of Tableau dashboard performance optimization Proven ability to collaborate and consult across business functions and leadership to understand business problems, identify/develop/deploy creative solutions, and to clearly & persuasively communicate to non-expert audiences Strong project management skills with the ability to manage complex projects and deliver key milestones on-time, both for yourself and for team members
