Overview: LMI is seeking a skilled Data Analyst at our office in Frederick Maryland to support our Defense Health Agency (DHA), Medical Logistics Division client.   • Data analysis and management support to the DHA MEDLOG Division and the DSLs/COTR in the materials standardization process, technology assessment, and program documentation.
  • The Data Analyst shall possess working knowledge of spreadsheets and relational databases and data models.
  • Tracking usage and sales from various data sources, calculating estimated and actual savings and providing reports and analysis based on the results.
  • Working with the Senior Data Analyst in creating tracking and reporting, processes and procedures for standardization.
Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics or related field is required.
  • This position requires five (5) years of experience in functional and data collection, data analysis, requirements analysis, and documentation preparation.
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, solutions oriented environment focused on client deliverables, analysis and reporting
  • Possess the ability to work in teams and independently.
  • Ability to pass a US government background investigation; US citizenship required
DESIRED SKILLS
  • Master’s degree or higher.
  • Previous DOD experience.
  • Working knowledge of the DHA organization
  • Experience working with tools including object-oriented programming (Python, Java), computational analysis tools (R, MATLAB), and associated data science libraries (scikit-learn).
  • Experience creating meaningful data visualizations and/or interactive dashboards that communicate your findings and relate them back to how your insights create business impact using platforms such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, RShiny, plotly, and d3.js.
  • Preferred experience with data science methods related to data architecture, data munging, data and feature engineering, and predictive analytics.
