Cybersecurity Test Engineering Manager Details

Leads those responsible for applying an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, validate and verify Cybersecurity solutions across the Missiles and Fire Control Test Engineering product development lifecycle. Provide Cyber TE management coverage for program status meetings, risk meetings, new proposal efforts, CAM reporting efforts, IMS schedule inputs, and various IPT meetings. Interface with other functions to coordinate a working solution for Cyber test Engineering development.

Interface with subcontractors and government counterparts in defining scope and defending BOEs in proposal efforts.

Mentor and lead less experienced engineers making sure TE policies and procedures are followed. Provide continual feedback to assigned engineers and conduct mid-year and end of year performance reviews.

Oversee execution of cyber risk assessment activities including, vulnerability analysis, system scanning, and system hardening.

Develop, evaluate and analyze test engineering design constraints, trade-offs and detailed system and security design as they pertain to the Cyber domain.

Coordinate with Cyber and system architects and developers to provide oversight in the development of Test Engineering solutions.

Oversee implementation of DISA Security Technical Implementation guides (STIG). Conduct cybersecurity test and evaluation of Test Engineering hardware and/or software designs to verify and validate compliance with defined specifications and requirements.

  • Experience leading Cyber/Test engineering teams and managing budget & schedule
  • Experience leading significant engineering scope on a weapon system development program
  • Ability to create presentations and roadmaps on organizational strategy and/or technology strategy and present to senior leadership
  • Proficiency with Design Assurance in one or more Engineering & Technology disciplines
  • Experience in Test Planning & Execution, System Integration, or Test system Design & Integration
  • Cybersecurity Test Engineering experience
