Peraton is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in our Panama City Beach, FL office. The selected candidate shall work on all systems and/or projects within the Sponsors organization responsible for providing Network Defense. This individual will be a subject matter expert in incident response and cybersecurity defense and will assist a team of professionals to ensure the security of multiple environments . The selected candidate shall oversee the design, development, evaluation, and ongoing accreditation of information systems.
The ideal candidate shall analyze and provide assessments of vulnerabilities in the functionality of unmanned vehicle subsystems and components that are Commercial-Off-The-Shelf, non-developmental items, or government equipment and identify design solutions for such vulnerabilities and safeguards against them. Shall submit functionality assessments to document the vulnerabilities identified and recommendations for dealing with them. Evaluate , develop recommendations for improving, and implement approved recommendations for the readiness and sustainment of new unmanned systems. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities: Play a significant role in the design and execution of the enterprise security operations processes, procedures and playbooks Assist the security operations team in identification and response to cyber threat activities and incident response Assist with technology vulnerability identification and remediation/patching of vulnerabilities Develop system documentation for information system authorization, security management, and continuous monitoring of both networked and standalone unmanned systems Perform system auditing, vulnerability risk assessments, Assured File Transfers, hardware/software configuration management, data integrity containments and investigations on IA related security violations/incidents Assist in the execution of plans for incident response Develop and communicate to peers, business partners, and management aspects of cyber defense, including crisis/incident communications, investigative Manage and maintain relationships with external sources of information security information that can be used to manage our security program
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or 6 years of relative work experience in lieu of degree
2-3 years of experience in Cyber Security services including information security
Broad technology expertise with application, system integration, data, and/or infrastructure knowledge
Ability to obtain and keep a Secret Security Clearance
Desired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field 3-5 years of experience in Cyber Security services Prior military service Broad technical skills in conducting network and assessments and ISO 17799/27002 based security assessments Active Secret Security Clearance Experience with Unmanned Systems
