This everyday eatery is the backdrop for traditional American cuisine paired with Houston hospitality. Our scratch kitchen focuses on the all-important relationships with our farmers, ranchers and fishermen, to bring you the freshest seasonal dining experience. Summary of Position:


Welcome and warmly greet all guests (curbside included) upon arrival, addressing them by name whenever possible. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes.

Curbside Host must stay stationed at their designated area/stand when not seating guests or attending to curbside guests. If you need to leave for any other reason someone must cover your area.

Duties & Responsibilities:


  • When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant
  • When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party and provide guests with estimated waiting time
  • Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible
  • Seat guests based on guest preference while balancing customer flow in service stations
  • Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server’s name
  • Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness
  • Relay messages to servers and bus persons as needed
  • Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
  • Fulfill any highlighted items on tickets for to-go orders and deliver to-go orders to curbside vehicles, ask the guest if they need condiments
  • Check phones for third party delivery orders
  • Fold kids’ menus with crayons – following the training protocol
  • Clean and re-set your area for the next shift which includes: wiping down and sanitizing all menus & trays, organizing the host stand, wiping down and sanitizing the to-go shelf and host stand, wiping down the front door to keep it free of smudges and handprints, and cleaning high chairs
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement
  • Other tasks as required of management or leadership

  • Able to communicate clearly
  • No previous restaurant experience required
