Hours: 24 hours flex 32 hours Shift: Day/Evening Shift, weekend &holiday rotation – primarily 3-11:30pm with other varying shifts Location: St. Luke’s Hospital – New Bedford, MA (Post-primary certification in the advanced practice discipline of CT is required for RTs or CNMTs within one year of eligibility and/or per RT licensure in MA or RI). We are searching for a CT Technologist to perform diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team. Responsible for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request. Obtain pertinent information from patient’s chart and document all data within the EHR. Educate patient for exam. Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies. Identify, prepare and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure. Select technical factors/ parameters/sequences to produce quality images. Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality. Apply the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self and others and aware of MR safety practices. Assist physicians in performing procedures. Provide functional or technical supervision of radiology aides (imaging assistants), other assigned non-technical employees and other practitioners, as applicable. Provide supervision and instruction to assigned affiliating students. Assist with ongoing quality assurance activities as assigned.
