Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead a crew to complete assigned scope of work on telecom job sites; focusing on safety, quality and efficiency. Job duties include but are not limited to:
  • Conduct safety, pre-project meetings, fill out all required paperwork
  • Assess safety hazards, ensure all work is performed following all safety rules and regulations
  • Plan, delegate tasks, direct and supervise entire crew
  • Effectively train and mentor the crew members
  • Direct successful completion of all the scope of work assigned according to construction requirements and quality standards, and within the time frame allotted
  • Provide troubleshooting and support for integration tasks
  • Perform administrative tasks, submit timesheets, daily reports, expense reports, materials list, etc.
  • Perform punch-walks and submit close out package information
  • Take responsibility and care for all company equipment, vehicles and tools
  • Investigate and report all accidents/incidents to management and safety department; suggest and implement corrective actions
  • Conduct performance review for crew members motivate and provide constructive feedback.

Skills/Experience:

  • Ability to work with advanced hand/power tools, testing equipment, alignment tools
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to lead the crew to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Basic computer skills
  • Minimum 2 years cell site construction experience installing various carriers
  • Minimum 1 year as a crew leader/superintendent

Requirements:

  • Must be RF Awareness, CPR/FIRST AID, OSHA 10/30, Comtrain (or equivalent) certified
  • Anritsu, PIM Fiber testing/certification
  • Must have necessary work tools for Crew Leader position
  • Must be able to travel away from home for 3 - 6 weeks at a time
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean diving record

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to climb and work on the towers, poles, buildings (no fear of heights)
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 70 lbs.
  • Must be able to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions efficiently
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather (snow, heat, high winds, etc.) and variety of shifts (including nights)
  • Must be able to pass ongoing drug screen testing

Authority:

  • Identifying and report safety hazards, incidents and accidents
  • Supervise, guide and train crew members

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
