Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring a Crane Operator for our operation in Lima, Ohio. The Crane Operator is a member of our Machining Department responsible for operating an overhead crane to facilitate movement of product and materials for machining and inspection operations. SFS offers a compentitive wages $21.20 - $24.45 per hour. Training for this role will be done on 1st shift before employee is transitioned to 2nd or 3rd shift.

Responsibilities:

• Pre-operation inspection and testing of crane and associated equipment
• Operation of overhead (cab) crane
• Communication with operators and employees on floor
• Timely reporting of equipment problems and issues
• Maintaining all equipment and documentation needed for crane operation
• Perform other department duties, as assigned

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:

• Must be comfortable working at heights
• Must be capable of standing for long periods of time
• Exposed to seasonal temperature changes
• Manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and vibration

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous experience with heavy equipment operation required
• Previous overhead crane experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be able to work any shift, including some weekends

Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen
Classification: Hourly
