Position Summary
Riley County is seeking Contact Tracers to support local Department of Public Health and Local Board of Health to perform COVID-19 contact tracing.
Contact tracing is the process of identification of persons who may have come into contact with an infected person and subsequent collection of further information about these contacts. This full-time, temporary position assists with investigation, contact tracing, and tracking around positive COVID-19 cases. Most work will involve telephone follow-up directly with cases, contacts to cases, medical providers as well as the general public.
Contact Tracers are required to follow all scripts, policies and procedures provided by Local Health Officer, and comply with Department of Public Health training regarding confidential information related to personal information.
Additional Information
This is temporary and As-Needed employment while performing health care services. Classification of this position is As-Needed, less than 1000 hours annually, and not eligible for benefits.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED:
Public health background.
Ability to speak, read, and write English is required. Second or multiple languages is a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Work Experience -
Proficiency with computers and clear, detailed written documentation is also necessary.
Responsible for direct data entry into various computer systems.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
